EVO/GSR Club Time Attack!

One of my favourites from today, picked it out of the 3000 or so images to crank through this week.

This one of Brad Trenwith firing up the RX7 literally, more to come soon,

2009 Pirtek Legend of the Lakes Photos...

IMAGES ARE ONLINE - Use search bar on right to find your car directly, or browse the entire gallery here - Image Gallery

--------------------------------------------------------------

Well, my first time shooting Legend of the Lakes was an absolute blast, some amazing machines and drivers all put to the test to get some truly outstanding images, of which I am only just getting to now. They will be online and available for search by the end of the week, hopefully sooner.

In the meantime, here are a couple that I quickly put together for you to drool at. A couple of stitches to show the cornering difference between Kevin Mackrell in the powerful yet heavy Datsun and Gazzard in the nippier Evo 9.

So your new camera bag is...Military Webbing???

Thats right, i'm going commando at this weekends hillclimb, and not in the traditional sense.

There are some great attributes to the traditional camera backpack, such as weather proofing, nicely organised and quick access to everything, and these days theyre extremely comfortable. But if you have most of your gear in the car, and are out in the field, a mere kilometer or so from your "base camp", the negatives of the camera bag become pretty apparent.

So the photographer's vest was born, basically an oversized fishermen's vest with tougher zips, bigger pockets and a far bigger price tag. The ones I looked at were all $200+.

I'm going to be trialling this military webbing this weekend at the Legend of the Lakes hill climb, shame about the color though, any color apart from bush camo...damn it, the pics will speak for themselves, even if I am buried at the local gay bar by the end of the night.

More TK soon...

Rally SA 2009 Wrap Up

Well, another year of Rally SA done and dusted, and what a year it was. I did not get as many pics as I would have liked, mainly because I was helping out car 21's service crew with pit duties as they were down a few guys. Because of this I only got to one spectator point, but still, the shots can be found in the gallery.

Good rally, few nasty crashes, and I send out my best wishes and a speedy recovery to all the drivers and co-drivers that sustained injuries over the weekend.
